Abstract: Neural network thecniques are applied for data assimilation during the time-integration of the Lorenz system. During the learning phase 3000 examples are used for multi-layer perceptron and radial base function neural networks. Some numerical experiments with insertion of observation for each 100 time-steps. The quality of the assimilation scheme for these networks is investigated.
