H.F. Campos Velho and F.M. Ramos (1999): Estimation of Turbulent Flux Properties by Inverse Problem Methodology, Journal of Engineering at UFRGS (non indexed journal). [in portuguese] (to appear)

Abstract: In this work a methodology for estimating unknown parameters for closure theories in turbulence is presented. The estimation method is based on that experimental data are available. The inverse problem associated to estimation is formulated as a non-linear optimization problem, where the objective function is defined as the sum of a square difference term, between the experimental data and data obtained from a mathematical model, and a regularization operator.
