Abstract: A scheme is presented to estimate the turbulent diffusivity based on inverse methodology. The inverse model is formulated as a nonlinear constrained optimization problem, with a regularization term obtained from the entropy of the discrete turbulent diffusivity vector, which is added to the objective function with the help of a Lagrange multiplier.
