E. Doescher, H.F. Campos Velho, F.M. Ramos (2001): Isothermal Fluid Flow in Fractal Domains, Computational and Applied Mathematics (in preparation).

Abstract: The dynamics of a fluid flow in a fractal domain is investigated in the present work. The driven cavity problem is used to test the numerical scheme. The cavity is represented by a square Koch fractal curve. Two levels of fractalization are simulated. The bi-dimensional Navier-Stokes equation is solved by the finite volume method for staggered and structured grid. All simulations are performed considering an isothermal system.
