Resumo: In this work different explicit technics using finite differences has been studied to simulate incompressible flows, where velocity-pressure algorithm were applied. The direct and explicit method of pressure resolution, introduced by Bravo and Claeyssen is analyzed. An approximation to the error caused by this method is made, and how this affects the mass conservation equation is verified. The simulations are made in a square cavity, comparing the differents methods and validating the approximations made in the study of the pressure resolution method. Flow in deep and shallow cavities is simulated, observing the formation of vortices and kinetic energy distribution. Besides this, a numerical study of Hopf bifurcation and of path integration algorithms are made.
