Abstract: The diffusion equation is solved numerically in order to describe the dispersion of pollutants in a convective boundary layer for two situations: the emission from surface instantaneous area source and the emission from elevated continuos line source. A eddy diffusivity expression obtained from statistical theory and expressions for turbulent velocity spectra is compared with other obtained from data of Layer-Eddy Simulation.
