Abstract: A method to evaluate dispersion parameters is a shear dominated stable planetary boundary layer is described in paper. The method is based on the local similarity and Taylor's diffusion theory. The model indicates that in the lower half of the stable boundary layer the turbulence structure is nearly homogenous. The present analysis allows us to conclude that the statistical diffusion theory can reproduce the contaminant dispersion in a stable turbulence described by the local similarity theory.
